The Entomological Society of America (ESA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Vector Borne Disease have partnered to create the Public Health Entomology for All (PHEFA) Initiative. As part of PHEFA, ESA would like to support faculty and students from Minority Serving Institutions to attend the Annual Meeting. ESA will provide registration, transportation, hotels, and a stipend for meals so faculty and three of their students can attend the 2024 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona November 10-13. There will be a reception hosted specifically for PHEFA Travel Grant Recipients.
We will select up to seven co-horts comprised of a faculty member and three students through a weighted lottery. The lottery will be weighted in favor of faculty members who have not attended an ESA Annual Meeting in the past. To apply for a PHEFA Travel Grant, you must be a faculty member at an MSI and provide us with contact information regarding you and the students who will accompany you. The students may be undergraduate or graduate students.
All Faculty deadline submissions are due by 11:59 PM Eastern on April 1, 2024. You are able to save applications and come back to them prior to the deadline; however once you have submitted your application you will not be able to edit. If you need to make changes after you have submitted contact awards@entsoc.org.
